Reading Albion Online market prices

Every city in Albion has its own market, and the prices move all day. Here is what a price on this site means, and when to trust it.

Two prices for every item

The gap between them is the market’s spread. Many buy orders sit far below the going price, placed in hope of someone selling cheap by mistake, and seldom fill. So a buy order far under the sell price says little about what the item is really worth.

How old is the price?

A price is only what someone saw at that market at that moment. Every price on this site shows its age, and prices older than a week are dropped. A price from minutes ago is a good guide; one from yesterday may be gone. For anything expensive, check it in the game before you travel.

Quality and enchantment

Gear comes in five qualities: Normal, Good, Outstanding, Excellent and Masterpiece. Each has its own price. Enchanted items (.1 to .4, shown as 6.1, 6.2 and so on) are separate items with their own prices too. When comparing, make sure it’s the same tier, enchantment and quality.

The Black Market

The Black Market in Caerleon buys gear to supply the loot of the game’s creatures, through buy orders of its own. It doesn’t buy resources, food or mounts, and only buys gear it has an order for. Its orders are reliable, but Caerleon can only be reached through red zones.

Where the prices come from

Each price says which of the two it came from. The more people look at a market, the fresher its prices.

Too good to be true

A single listing far from what the item sells for everywhere else is usually one piece, or already gone. The site marks such prices as doubtful and keeps them out of the profit lists unless you ask for them. A profit that relies on one cheap listing won’t last past the first buyer.

What really sold

Asking prices are not sales. Each item’s page also shows how many sold in the last four weeks and for how much on average. That is the best check on whether an item sells at all, and at what price.

One server

Market prices are for the Europe server. The Americas and Asia servers have their own markets and prices.
